Each transaction goes towards supporting a local small business.

What we're all about

Our "What":

Bloemshop is a community store and a subcategory of a dropshipping company. This means we sell goods but we don't keep stock.

Our "How":

When an order is placed on our site, we contact the relevant vendor(s), collect the item(s), package it and deliver it to the customer. We don't offer competitive prices, we offer convenience. We support locals at their full price and add a small profit so that we can sustainably continue such a service.

Our "Why💕":

We're doing this for the small businesses and micro vendors who have to compete in a world where large corporations with deep pockets for marketing have the upper hand. We do it because we believe in ethical business and a fair chance for new entrepreneurs. I, myself, am faced with unemployment and know how hard it is to start a business with no capital but I know something about digital marketing and I think we can help each other. I do it because if we buy from online shops that reside outside Bloem, that money leaves the town and doesn't come back. By supporting locally, we are growing our economy, uniting our community and sending love from home to home. What goes around, literally, comes around.💕

Feel a Strong Desire to Help?:

We need your help to spread the word to your favourite vendors to contact us about selling their goods on our platform. It's really affordable and they won't have to learn anything even remotely technical.

[Update 2021/09/18]❗

I have been working very hard and received help from various friends and family but by the end of 2021, I will no longer have UIF's support and will be forced to close if we can't source the funds to keep this dream alive. Research has shown that Bloemfontein is still very young in the adoption of e-commerce. Historical data shows that even the most unlikely places have adopted it but it will take approximately 3 years before this metaphorical kite will fly.

I'm reaching out to the public for sponsorship or orders. Please contact me at 072 456 0440 or

We will also require volunteers who might be willing to help in areas like admin, collection, deliveries and returns, photography, packaging, tasks coordination, uploading items to the online catalogue, quality control, social media, marketing and accounting. If you are easy to get along with and believe in what we do, you and I are bound to become great friends and we'll be a part of something far greater than ourselves.

For the Love of Bloem! 🌼

Yours truly,

Pieter Booysen
